" This is my signature coaching program that is designed to guide you through the process of building or renovating your dream home "

The investment into this program is a one off payment of $5,500 (including GST)

Let me take you step by step through my proven process and framework so that you can avoid all the stress and overwhelm and get started on creating the kind of home that you've always dreamed you'd be able to create for your family.

This program has been designed to allow us to collaborate on the design of your home in a way that allows you to maintain full control of your project and ensure that the finished product is something that reflects YOU... because I believe that's what good design should do.

I share with you my skills and experience as a professional interior designer, along with all of my tried and tested products, materials and trusted suppliers, so that you have the confidence to make more informed, educated decisions about your project...

...without having to waste a whole lot of time and money trying to figuring it all out the hard way...

This allows you to move forward with your project with the confidence that you've got the support you need to get it right.

The first step in working with me in this program is for us to have a chat on the phone - I'd love to hear more about your project and I'm sure that you've got some questions for me - this is a good chance for us to see if we'd be a good fit for each other.

To ensure that I'm able to deliver a high quality, personal service to each of my existing clients, I have a limited number of projects that I take on at any one time.

I open up additional spots in this program every two months and if there is an option to schedule a call with me below, that means you're in luck.

Why was this program created ?

Well, after working on hundreds of homes over the last 10 years - across many different styles of homes, types of clients and size of projects - I have come to realise that we pretty much all want the same thing from our homes...

Of course, the vision of our dream home looks different for every one of us, but when we boil it down... we all just want to create a home that reflects us, our family and the way that we want to live. A home that makes the most of the resources we have available and one that will support us into the next phase of our lives.

The reason many of us find ourselves thinking about creating a new home is because we get to a point where we realise that our current home no longer reflect us and our ideal lifestyle...

perhaps the home that you purchased as a newly married couple is now too small for your growing family...

maybe you bought an 'affordable' property when you were just starting out but now that you've built more financial security, you're ready to step it up a bit...

or perhaps you're ready to start living a more low-maintenance lifestyle and your current home is a drain on the very little spare time that you have...

Whatever got you to the point where you're considering building or renovating, you're most certainly looking to the future and starting to form a picture of how you want the next phase of your life to look - and your home is a central part of that.

So, the question then becomes
"how are we going to make this happen?"

There's no shortage of inspiration to help kick start your ideas for what your dream home might look like...

If fact, the sheer volume of images that we see on a daily basis is now becoming the thing that is keeping us stuck and unable to move forward - there are just so many options !

Going through this process alone is far from ideal - especially if you've never been through it before, or if you have the kind of life that requires your time and focus to be somewhere else.

If you speak to anybody whose been through the process of building or renovating before, they will  tell you that this can be one of the most stressful things a family can go through - it takes a whole lot more time, energy and skills than what most people expect (we can thank reality tv for that one...)

When we consider that the average Australian spends between $500,000 and $2m on building or renovating their homes, you can understand how much we have on the line...

...and unfortunately, we usually only get one shot at it.

There are plenty of opportunity for mistakes... and if you're anything like me, you don't like paying for someone to fix a mistake that you could have avoided ( especially when you know you're the one responsible and you were just doing the best you could at the time )

Can I just hire someone to do it for me?

As a professional interior designer, it would be easy for me to say that you should just leave it to the professionals - hand over all the decision making and design to someone who knows what they're doing.

But if I'm really honest...

There's only a handful of people that this works for...

You've got to have a real connection with your designer and a shared, clear vision for your new home - and I mean really, really clear vision.

You've got to be able to hand over a lot of the smaller decisions and detail to them with the confidence that you have a shared big picture view of the project.

You've got to have a big enough budget to engage them for the time that it will take them to understand you, your project and develop ideas and concepts for you to consider.

If you think that a designer is going to magically see into your head and know exactly what you want before you even know it yourself... well, you might be disappointed.  If you don't know what you want, then chances are that a designer won't know either and you can spend a whole lot of time and money playing the guessing game...

You can hire the greatest designer in the country and, if you don't understand each other, and have a shared vision for the project, then I'm sorry to tell you, things aren't going to work out well for either party.

Is there another option?

After many years of trying different ways of working and really listening to clients that are going through this process, it became clear to me that we needed another option...

My signature coaching program has been designed as a bit of a hybrid offering - I take you step by step through the process of planning, designing and then construction of your project so that you feel empowered and in control of your project from day one,  I share with you my skills and experience as a professional interior designer, along with all of my tried and tested products, materials and trusted suppliers, so that you have the confidence to make more informed, educated decisions about your project... but the real difference is that we are working together to create YOUR vision and then bringing that to life, so that the finished product is as beautiful, functional and perfectly matched to YOU that it can be.

...and if I'm perfectly honest... this is the only way that I know that you are going to be totally in love with the home that we create together.

Want to know more about what we will be doing together ?

I get it - I'm a detail person too.

I've outlined each of the 6 phases below that we step through together.

PHASE 1 – THE GROUND WORK

This first phase covers all the important ground work that we need to do before we start diving into the detail… it helps us get really clear on what it is we’re setting out to create so that you can have confidence that you’re heading in the right direction.

> How to find your own style

> Hiring a team that is going to be a good fit for you and your project

> Writing a clear brief to your team so that they understand you and what you’re asking for

> How to use our simple but effective project management tool

> Creating a schedule to keep your project on track

> Creating a budget that you can stick to and avoid any unexpected overspend

What's included at this phase :
  • Phone call with Amanda to get your project started
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives
PHASE 2 – FLOORPLANS AND LAYOUTS

In my opinion, this is the most important thing to get right – I don’t care how beautiful your splashback tile is, if your house has a bad layout, it’s almost impossible to fix and it’s going to have the biggest impact how your home looks, feels and functions.

In this phase of your project, we’re going to look at how to create a floorplan that you’re confident is going to work for you, so that you can get your plans finalised, permits arranged and engineering underway.

> How to create a floorplan that will make the most of what space you have available

> Space Planning to ensure that your rooms will be the right size for their intended use and furniture layout

> Orientation and maximising the magic of natural light

What's included at this phase :
  • One hour consultation with me at my Fitzroy office or via phone / video call.
  • We sit down together at this point and have a close look at your floorplan - either your existing plans or proposed plans - and we talk about whether anything needs to be tweaked before you move forward.
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives * Drafting services are not included but can be offered at an additional fee if required
PHASE 3 – MATERIALS AND FINISHES

The materials and finishes that we select for our interiors don’t just dictate the finished look of our homes – they can also have a huge impact on the overall cost of our project and the durability and longevity of the work that we’re doing, so it’s important to understand the available options and what’s going to be most suitable for you.

> We’re going to be talking about all the different materials and finishes available so that you know what is right for your project

> Learn where you should be using certain materials and what to avoid

> We’re going to be drilling down on all the detail on the types of timber, tiles, natural stone, paints and wallpapers so that you can make more informed choices

What's included at this phase :
  • One hour consultation with me at my Fitzroy office or via phone / video call.
  • We sit down together at this point and discuss a palette of materials and finishes for your home that will allow you achieve the vision that we have created together
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives
PHASE 4 – THE KITCHEN

The kitchen really is the heart of the home, so this module is designed to help you design the sort of kitchen you’ve always dreamed of having – one that looks beautiful, but also stays looking that way for as long as possible. There should be a place for everything and a layout that works for you and how you like to cook.

> Understanding the different layout options so that you know what’s right for your home

> The real truth about stone benchtops

> Cabinetry detailing – finishes, door profiles, handles, edging… because you know all that detail is important

> How to select the right kitchen appliances for your kitchen

> All the other details – tap ware, sinks, splashbacks, storage

What's included at this phase :
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives
PHASE 5 – BATHROOMS AND LAUNDRY

The bathrooms and laundries of busy households are like the engine rooms – they’ve got to be highly functional spaces that work well, but also help you to enjoy the routines and rituals of everyday life.

This phase is going to help you make your selections with more confidence and ensure that the finished spaces are the best they can be.

> We’ll be covering tile selections and detailing

> How to choose the right basins, sinks and tapware for your space

> Achieving great bathroom light at any time of day

> Getting the right layout for your vanity units and storage solutions

What's included at this phase :
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives
PHASE 6 – ALL THE OTHER BITS

This final phase of the design is where I cover off on all of the other details - those things that need to be specified to your builder, but are often forgotten.

If you don’t take the time to research the options and your preferences for these items, they’re often the things that the builder will decide for you or will not get done at all… so, we’re going to cover :

> Selecting the right architectural details for your style of home – cornice, skirting boards, architraves, internal doors, door hardware

> How to plan out your Lighting and Electrical details, because these things are so much more important that most people think

> Window Coverings and how to find the best solution for your home, that not only looks great, but also provides effective insulation and increases the energy efficiency of your home

What's included at this phase :
  • Program guide and email support
  • Worksheets
  • My recommendations to suit your objectives

Working with Amanda has been a very helpful process - it has saved me a lot of time and stress.

The process helped to make choosing items much easier because she was able to curate a tailored set of goods that I could choose from - rather than wandering around countless stores aimlessly.

Amanda listened really well and really took the time to understand my style, my budget and my needs.

I definitely recommend working with Amanda and have already referred a number of my friends to her.

"Highly recommend"

We have been fortunate to engage Amanda to create beautiful spaces in our home.

Amanda not only has an amazing creative eye, she is a delight to deal with. She is also a very good listener and is able to work within budget.

Amanda is always referred to people who ask for an interior design contact and is my go to when I need input in my own home.
Caylee, Yarraville
"Would absolutely recommend and we have!"

We had a fantastic experience working with Amanda. My husband (a builder) and I basically rebuilt our home for our young family.

Whilst we have an interest in design and decorating, we were so overwhelmed with the decisions and we were desperate to "get it right."  We also didn’t have the time to do the research!

We are delighted with everything Amanda did and it’s just different to everything else you see. I just can’t ever see us not loving everything she has done.

Whenever anyone comes into our home and comments... it’s because of Amanda. There were extra details that we would never have thought of that we are so delighted with.
Maria and Adrianna, Coburg
"We would recommend working with Amanda - she is very good at what she does and professional to deal with"

We found working with Amanda very valuable.

She considered our likes and dislikes and provided a sample brief that we worked on together until we agreed on a concept that we were all happy with.

Her professional help made everything come together smoothly.

She has a passion for her work and it shows in the completed project.
Cynthia, Strathmore
"Highly recommend"

I thoroughly enjoyed the process of redecorating my house with Amanda.

She was professional, calm and seemed to really understood what feel/look I wanted to achieve.

With 3 kids and a dog in tow, I am really happy with the longevity of the fabrics she selected.

She wasn’t happy unless I was happy and I am super happy!!!
